FILE HISTORY SERVICES
Attorneys and other legal professionals request the file histories of issued and pending patent prosecution histories or trademark registrations and applications for a variety of reasons. The files are used in infringement and validity research, in litigation, to aid in writing a new application, to understand why an examiner allowed a certain patent or trademark and to obtain files of new clients.
